We offer COVID-19 vaccination at Pangbourne Pharmacy. The vaccine helps protect you against COVID-19, and you may wish to have it if you want that protection ahead of the colder months, before travelling, or simply for your own peace of mind.
Who can have it
There are two routes to a vaccination with us.
- NHS vaccination. If you are eligible for a COVID-19 vaccination on the NHS, please book through the NHS booking service. Eligibility is set nationally, not by the pharmacy. Click here for more information on the NHS website.
- Private vaccination. If you are not eligible on the NHS, or you would prefer not to wait, you can book a private vaccination with us at any time of year.
What happens at your appointment
Our pharmacist will ask a few short questions about your health, any medicines you take and any allergies. This is to make sure the vaccination is suitable for you. The injection is given in the upper arm and takes only a moment. We will ask you to stay with us for a short while afterwards, just as a precaution.
Please wear a top with sleeves that are easy to roll up. It helps to bring a list of your current medicines if you have one to hand.
